🇺🇸 Hi. I’m the pin. Small, round, shiny, and quietly confident. I may only be about an inch across, but I’ve been holding onto two and a half centuries of history like it’s no big deal. I sit on jackets, backpacks, hats, and sometimes places I didn’t expect, just minding my business and looking important.
🔔 You’ll notice I’m dressed up. Gold plated edges, hard enamel colors, the whole presentation. Red, white, blue, and a little extra shine because subtlety is overrated sometimes. I don’t light up, buzz, blink, or beep. I let the design do the talking. And honestly, it talks plenty on its own.
🌍 I represent a long stretch of time. Some loud years, some quiet ones, some confusing ones too. I’m not here to explain all that. I just show up, polished and steady, reminding people that the story kept going. Even when it got messy. Especially when it got messy.
🧑🔧 On the back, I’ve got a military clutch. That means I stay put. No dramatic falls off your lapel mid-conversation. No disappearing act halfway through the day. I take my job seriously, even if I occasionally enjoy the attention. It’s a balance.
🎁 Wear me to an event. Keep me in a display. Gift me to someone who likes meaningful objects with a bit of weight behind them. I’m not loud, but I’m not shy either. I’m just here, doing my part, quietly saying, yeah, this mattered, and it still does.
